The Kansas African American Museum (TKAAM) Annual Martin Luther King Celebration is one of the largest King celebrations in the region, with a tradition of more than 30 years of honoring the work and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On average this celebration reaches more than 700 individuals and organizations, and continues to grow each year in its impact on the Wichita community.
TKAAM invites you to participate in our 37th Annual Martin Luther King Celebration Weekend January 14, 2017. This year’s celebration features an MLK Parade, community outreach project and the Annual Community Celebration.
The Celebration features Wiley College Choirs.
The following is a list of TKAAM events for January 14th:
7:00 - 9:00a.m: Breakfast @ Christian Faith Centre (1130 S Broadway St, Wichita, KS 67211). The first 100 people will receive a FREE breakfast!!!
10:00 - 11:00a.m: City Wide Parade from CFC to The Chester Reflection Park (East of Douglass and Broadway). Contact Christian Faith Centre to register float/organization 316 - 683 - 3544.
